CT scanner

This scanning technology is used when the health care team needs to understand what is going on in soft tissues, joints, organs, or ever smaller components of the body such as blood vessels.

Individuals need to stay immobile during scanning so that the images can be correctly stitched together by the software. The CT scan is often thought of when individuals sustain a concussion, to determine whether there is a bruise or bleeding under the skull.
